CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI
The Location
Elmwood Heritage Inn rests on a quiet, tree-lined acre in one of Charlottetown’s most cherished neighbourhoods. Originally built in 1889 for Arthur Peters, grandson of Sir Samuel Cunard, the property feels peaceful and tucked away, yet the best of the city is just a scenic 10 to 15 minute walk from your door. Guests can easily reach the downtown core, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. For those who prefer to drive, everything is only minutes away by car.
Victoria Park is just four blocks from the inn, offering a beautiful harbourfront boardwalk, walking trails, tennis courts, a public pool, and expansive green space. The location offers a rare balance of quiet residential charm and effortless access to Charlottetown’s vibrant centre.
Perfectly positioned in the heart of Prince Edward Island, Charlottetown is an ideal base for exploring the Island. Renowned beaches, coastal drives, and exceptional golf courses can be found in every direction, all within a short drive.
Charlottetown is celebrated for its walkability, and Elmwood invites you to experience the city at a relaxed, unhurried pace. A vehicle is recommended for guests planning to explore beyond downtown or for those who prefer not to walk. Complimentary, stress-free on-site parking is always available.

Look for the Elmwood Driveway
We’re the tall Victorian home set back from the street. Look for the black wrought-iron gates and the long angled driveway. Green Street is directly across from our lane.
As one Globe and Mail guest put it, “I walked to the theatre for a performance of Anne of Green Gables one evening and enjoyed a moonlit stroll home.” We couldn’t say it better.
